4 Promises: Locked Down in One Psalm

Karl Clauson

Everywhere we look, promises are being offered up to us, but few can deliver. Psalm 19 paints a picture of God's promises that is neither for sale or show. Catch a vision for God's promises – they are locked in.

  1. Your Soul Will Be Revived (vs.7) – When your soul is well, your life will thrive. God desires to water your soul with truth. The perfect law of God will revive you. We can only know how much we've needed our soul to be revived when we spend time in God's word – taste and see.
  2. You Will Possess Wisdom (vs.7) – Never again wonder how to live. God's word has all the wisdom you need to move from being simple to possessing great wisdom. This wisdom isn't found in the books and learning of earth; it comes down from God who gives every perfect gift.
  3. Your Heart Will Rejoice (vs.8) – Joy is a promised fruit of the Spirit. The way the Spirit births joy in your life is by being in the word of allowing the Spirit to lead you into truth. If you humbly approach the word of God and ask the Holy Spirit to lead, you can be confident He will.
  4. You Will Have Clear Vision (vs.8) – Although the future is uncertain, God's word will illuminate all we need to see to make the right steps at the moment. Even if we step out by faith, we will have certainty that God will not let our foot slip as we seek his will and his way in his word

I've heard many people recite verse 14, "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer." You want to know how to get your heart attitude and the words you speak aligned with God – open wide and drink up God's word. These four promises are locked down, now go get em!
