Summer Miller grew up in a Christian home in a small town in Amish country Ohio. Growing up in a multi-generational family of believers deeply impacted her — at a very young age, she accepted Jesus as her Savior.
Her passion to serve started at a young age when her family began fostering and adopting. At eleven years old, she started serving in her church's children's ministry, then eventually began leading middle and high schoolers. She discovered that serving the body of Christ was exactly what God called her to do.
After high school graduation, she moved to Thessaloniki, Greece to work at Anagenesis Church, where she served children, youth, and refugees from the Middle East and Northern Africa. While in Greece she realized how much more she needed to learn about the Bible and ministry. In 2020, she started her studies at Moody Bible Institute where she earned a bachelor's degree in Ministry to Women.
After graduating Moody in 2024, she began working full-time at Naomi's House; a residential home for women who have escaped sex trafficking or are recovering from addiction.
During her entire time as a part of the 180 family, she has been deeply inspired by 180 Chicago’s mission and heart for people. Joining the staff in 2024, she is beyond excited to serve the children of 180 — creating a safe and fun environment where they can experience the love of Jesus while receiving Christ-centered teaching.
In Summer’s free time, she enjoys going to coffee shops, spending time with her cat, Milo, and finding any excuse to be with friends. She enjoys traveling locally and globally and hopes someday to visit every continent.
