Northwest Campus Pastor

Paul Hansen

Paul was born and raised on the East Coast. As a pastor’s kid, the gospel was presented to him as a small boy, and with the faith of a child, he accepted Christ. As he grew “older but colder” in his faith, the Holy Spirit convicted him that true faith and belief in Jesus meant wholehearted commitment. This marked the beginning of his understanding of God’s revolutionary plan for every person. His ministry began shortly after to inner city kids and also local church work. A fire was lit in his heart that the Church might experience the reality of Christ. He went on to Moody Bible Institute, where he received pastoral training and his greatest treasure, Amy.

Paul and Amy are blessed with five incredible kids and are excited to join the 180 family. They have now ministered in local and international ministries for over three decades. Paul has served the Church in ministry development, executive leadership, and missional thought. Paul’s passion is to lead, love, and help the Church more effectively influence for the gospel. He is currently working on His Masters in Leadership at Concordia University, WI. Paul and Amy enjoy sharing their lives with ministry leaders and their families everywhere. Together, they have assisted in disciple-making efforts on 6 continents.

Paul’s passion is to see people equipped to think, imitate, and follow Jesus more closely with a global, joy-filled perspective. He joins 180 as Pastor of Leader Mobilization. Pragmatically, as part of our Directional Leadership Team, he will help us to develop a healthy leadership culture, refine, expand, and execute our vision and ministry strategy, and work with our global missional partnerships. The Hansens can’t wait to be part of helping people come alive as disciples of Christ who revolutionize Chicago and reach the world!

On a more personal note, Paul is still crazy about Amy and enjoys morning coffee, general aviation, and working out in his free time. One of his weaknesses is dark chocolate and almonds. They currently reside in Hoffman Estates.
