Hanna Tamang was born in Nepal, a small nation nestled in the Himalayas, where she grew up smelling the aroma of spices and breathing fresh mountain air. She was raised in a Hindu nation by parents who firmly believed in Jesus as their Savior.

After high school, her passion for the gospel led her to join OM’s Ship Ministry. She boarded Logos Hope, embarking on a journey that took her beyond the mountains and across oceans to share God’s love through knowledge, help, and hope. She travelled around the world, where she had the privilege of serving and spreading God’s love to people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

During her time in missions, many were curious about Christ and had numerous questions. It was then that she realized the importance of sound theology in effectively sharing the gospel. This inspired her to pursue both her undergraduate and graduate studies at Moody Bible Institute, where she graduated in 2024 with a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Administration.

Hanna is a Grant Writer/Manager at Urban Christian Academy, where she plays a key role in securing funding for UCA. In this role, she is able to express her creativity through writing and her passion for storytelling, helping to bring the academy's vision to life.

Hanna became a church member at 180 Chicago in 2022 and recently joined as part-time support staff, taking on the role of Operations Coordinator for the Downtown Campus. She deeply loves the 180 family and considers it her home away from home.

Outside of her professional and ministry work, Hanna loves writing poetry, playing soccer, watching cricket, developing recipes, being her friends' stylist, and vlogging her daily routines.
