Ajit was born and raised in Chennai, India. He grew up as a pastor's kid and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of seven, after watching a gospel presentation on a local TV station in India.

His commitment to Christ was further strengthened through a protracted battle with debilitating kidney disease and miraculous recovery. Ajit realized that his life was indeed a gift from God and felt an irresistible tug in his heart to spend the rest of his life in the service of his Maker. He has been a committed follower of Jesus Christ for more than 21 years (since childhood).

After completing his Bachelor's in English literature at Madras Christian College, Ajit worked full-time with the missions organization that his parents founded. This opportunity allowed him to travel extensively throughout India and witness firsthand the great need for Christ in the lives of people and the power of the gospel to transform lives.

Recognizing a need for further Bible training, Ajit came to the United States to pursue a Master of Divinity in pastoral studies at Moody Bible Institute. He subsequently graduated with a Master's in Theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and is currently working on his Ph.D. in intercultural studies at Trinity.

Ajit's passion in ministry is to help people dive deeper into the word of God and to pursue Jesus alongside the community of believers wholeheartedly. As Pastor of Direction & Management for 180 Chicago, his role includes overseeing operations and developing various areas of ministry at 180.

Ajit is married to Katie, and they currently reside in Chicago. They love to explore new cities, spend time with friends, and most importantly, enjoy their adorable kids, Roshni & Riyan.
